How to watercolor with Stampin Up ink refills

Rubbing Alcohol drops over wet background and allowed to dry
both photos came from this source
 http://www.watercolorpainting.com/watercolor-tutorials.htm
scrunch op some plastic wrap and allow it to dry then remove the wrap and see the great pattern it left.

This link shows more color combinations

http://www.littlebit.com/images/id eas/hand_painted_paper.jpg

My favorite color combinations are:
Taken with Teal, Lovely Lilac and Brilliant blue
Old Olive and Rose Red
Summer Sun, Really Rust and Cameo Coral

This is my absolute favorite technique.
Use Night of Navy ink all by itself  then before you allow it to dry sprinkle a little Crushed or ground salt over it as it dries. It leaves little stars or snowflakes in your background!
It's beautiful.

How to make handpainted papers by Sherrill Graff and Shirley Munoz

How to make handpainted papers by Sherrill Graff and Shirley Munoz
it's so easy and a lot of FUN!
You need white cardstock, a stipple brush, stampin up ink refills Brilliant Blue and Taken with Teal, a extra plastic set stamp case, rubber gloves, and a spray bottle with water in it. I used an empty stampin mist bottle.
Step 1 place the cardstock into the stamp case
Step 2 Spray the cardstock with water until it is thoroughly wet on both sides.
Step 3 add a puddle of each ink color to the lid
Step 4 Touch the ink with your stipple brush and repeat until the entire paper has color on it.
Leave some white spaces and try not to over work the 2 colors so you can still see the difference between the blue and the teal.
Step 5 allow to dry completly
See the pretty papers
The papers can be stamped on while they are still a bit damp for a fun watercolor effect.

Please send your questions or comments to Sherrill and Shirley at istmpnv@aol.com

This technique was printed in many scrapbook and stamping magazines over the years.
Shirley and I have really had fun teaching our customers and fellow demonstrators this fun and easy technique. Thanks for visiting my blog today. We value your opinion. Please leave a comment to be entered into our FREE Stamp drawings. We have one each month.

Artist Spotlight - Becky Roberts Stampin Up Demonstrator

Some of the great things on Becky's blog... check them out

Becky Roberts

I started in Roseville, CA  and had a fantastic business earning a couple cruises and wonderful bonus incentives, etc., then two years ago we relocated to Boise, ID for my husband’s job.  Starting over in these economic times has proven challenging at best, so I decided to make my blog work for me and started creating pattern tutorials for sale.  It has been such a great way to continue and grow my business!  Things are going well in Idaho for us.

I have two boys ages 13 and 10, a wonderful supportive husband a 100 pound Golden Retriever who is a lap dog and a cute cat.  My oldest son has set up several blogs for friends and downline, makes DVD’s of card samples for large events and is a master labeler!  I was involved at the Ronald McDonald House in Sacramento and enjoyed it very much.  I’ve stamped for the troops and volunteered in the auction for the Australian Bush Fires.

Visit her blog for more great samples of her work.
